CreatorIQ
Connect CreatorIQ to manage creators and campaigns, run performance reports, track links and promo code sales, review payouts and check brand safety.
You paste one value into PopMCP: the API key CreatorIQ's team issues for your account.
Partner application before this connector works
CreatorIQ issues API keys itself. There is no page to make one and no self-serve sign-up: existing customers ask their account manager or CreatorIQ support, and new teams go through sales.
- Typical wait
- Not published. It depends on your CreatorIQ team. The key works as soon as you have it.
- Cost
- Not published. Ask your CreatorIQ account team what your contract includes.
- Blocked until approved
- Everything through the API. Your use of the CreatorIQ app is not affected.
- Works meanwhile
- Read the public reference at apidocs.creatoriq.com, which shows every documented endpoint. If you are talking to CreatorIQ's sales team, ask them for a sandbox and a key for it.
Where to apply: Ask your CreatorIQ account manager, or email support@creatoriq.com. If you are not a customer yet, write to sales@creatoriq.com.
- A division level key only reaches its own division. A partner level key reaches the whole account, but can only view division webhook subscriptions, not change them.
- Keys have no read-only setting. Use read-only on the PopMCP connection to limit what an AI can do.
- The webhook signing secret is the API key itself, so replacing a key also changes how webhooks are verified.
- Setup time
- 2 min once you have the key
- Auth
- API credentials
- API base URL
- https://apis.creatoriq.com
- Rate limits
- 5 requests a second and 100,000 requests a day, per API key. Over the limit it answers 429.
Before you begin
- A CreatorIQ account. The API works on your account's own data, so it is for existing customers, or for teams CreatorIQ's sales team has given a sandbox
- An API key from CreatorIQ. There is no page to make one yourself: your account manager issues it, or you can ask at support@creatoriq.com
Get your credentials
Ask CreatorIQ for an API key
CreatorIQ issues API keys through its team, so this step is a message rather than a settings page. Ask your CreatorIQ account manager, or email support@creatoriq.com. If you are new to CreatorIQ, write to sales@creatoriq.com, who can also set up a sandbox. Say whether you want a partner level key, which reaches the whole account, or a division level key, which reaches one division. If someone on your team already has a key for this purpose, you can use that one.
Paste the key into PopMCP
In PopMCP, paste the key into CreatorIQ API key and connect. CreatorIQ does not share account names with its API, so you can type one under More options to tell connections apart. PopMCP checks the key by reading your list of creator statuses, which changes nothing.
Decide what the AI may change
New connections start read-only. CreatorIQ keys have no read-only setting of their own, so this is what keeps an AI to reading. Leave writes off unless you want it to change records, because the message tools email real creators and the payment settings tools change what a creator is paid.
Connect in PopMCP
Open your workspace, choose CreatorIQ in the marketplace, and fill in the connect dialog:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| CreatorIQ API keysecret | From your CreatorIQ account team. Stored encrypted and used only on our servers.Encrypted with AES-256-GCM on save and never shown again. |
| Account name (optional)text | What to call this account in PopMCP. CreatorIQ does not share account names with its API. |
PopMCP verifies the credential against CreatorIQ immediately. On success the connection flips to Verified and its MCP tools are provisioned.
Verify it worked
PopMCP marks the CreatorIQ connection Verified. If the key sees one division, its name appears as the connection's name, and if it sees several, PopMCP says how many. Asking the AI to list your campaigns is a good first test.
Troubleshooting
"CreatorIQ did not accept this API key..."
Why: The key was copied incompletely, has been replaced, or is not valid for this environment.
Fix: Copy the key again and paste only the key. If it still fails, ask your CreatorIQ account manager or support@creatoriq.com for a current one.
One area is refused with a 403 while others work
Why: A division level key only reaches its own division, and some areas can need turning on for your account.
Fix: Ask your CreatorIQ account team what the key can reach, or ask for a partner level key.
A creator is not found, though you can see them in CreatorIQ
Why: A creator has two ids, Id and PublisherId, and the tool was told the wrong kind. CreatorIQ answers this with a 400.
Fix: Ask the AI to use the Id from the creator list. If you have a PublisherId, tell the AI so, and it will send key=PublisherId.
A report says still_processing
Why: CreatorIQ builds reports in the background, and a large one can take longer than a tool will wait.
Fix: Ask the AI to run it again with the same inputs. It picks up the same task rather than starting over.
Campaign numbers look out of date
Why: CreatorIQ refreshes campaign posts every 8 to 9 hours, and about every 56 hours on campaigns that are large or have run for a long time.
Fix: Ask the AI to refresh the campaign's activity. That fetches the latest posts now.
The Brand Safety check is refused
Why: This one tool uses a different sign-in header in CreatorIQ's reference, and it needs Brand Safety on your account.
Fix: Ask the AI to list brand safety posts instead, which uses the normal key. If you need the check itself, ask your CreatorIQ account team to confirm your key can use it.
A link is refused with a message about social networks
Why: These tools make CreatorIQ open the link, so PopMCP only sends links on social networks such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Fix: Use the link to the creator's profile or post on the social network itself.
429 Too Many Requests
Why: CreatorIQ allows 5 requests a second and 100,000 a day for each key. Anything else using the same key counts too.
Fix: Wait a few seconds and try again. If that does not help, the daily limit is used up.
