ShareASale
Connect ShareASale to the Awin account it moved to after closing, to track commission, build tracking links, read offers and approve sales.
ShareASale closed on 6 October 2025 and its accounts moved to Awin, so you connect your Awin login. You paste one value into PopMCP: your personal Awin API token, from API Credentials in your user menu. If your login belongs to several publisher or advertiser accounts, you then choose which one the connection is for.

Before you begin
- An Awin login. Awin moved eligible ShareASale accounts across and sent an invitation email. If you did not get one, you can register with Awin directly
- Nothing to apply for as a publisher: your token works as soon as you show it
- As an advertiser, the Accelerate or Advanced plan, or an Access login listed on more than one programme
- Old ShareASale tokens and secrets are not used, and do not work
Get your credentials
Sign in to Awin, not ShareASale
ShareASale's site now redirects to Awin, and ShareASale logins no longer open anything. Sign in to Awin with the account Awin set up when it upgraded you. Then open your user menu at the top right and select API Credentials, or go straight to ui.awin.com/awin-api. If you see no account there, ask your admin to add you.

Show and copy your token
Enter the password you use to sign in and select Show my API token. Awin creates the token the first time and shows it. Copy it. It works like a password and reaches every Awin account your login belongs to, so keep it out of chats and shared files.

Revoking stops everything that uses this token straight away, including PopMCP. Only do it if the token has leaked.
Paste the token into PopMCP and choose the account
In PopMCP, open ShareASale, paste the token into API token and connect. PopMCP checks it with Awin and lists the accounts your login belongs to; choose the one this connection is for. Your ShareASale merchant account is now an Awin advertiser account, and your affiliate account is now an Awin publisher account. The connection is then locked to that account.
Optional: add a product feed key
Only for publishers who want Awin's standard product feeds. Enhanced feeds need no key. In Awin, open Toolbox, then Create-a-Feed, choose a language and a feed, go through column selection, and copy the generated link. In PopMCP, open More options and paste the whole link into Product feed key. PopMCP takes the key out of it. This key is separate from your API token.

Open your workspace, choose ShareASale in the marketplace, and fill in the connect dialog:

PopMCP verifies the credential against ShareASale immediately. On success the connection flips to Verified and its MCP tools are provisioned.
Verify it worked
PopMCP marks the connection Verified with the Awin account's name, and records whether it is a publisher or an advertiser and your role in it. Asking the AI how much commission is pending returns totals by currency.
Troubleshooting
Awin did not accept this token
Why:
Fix: ShareASale tokens and secrets do not work here. Open API Credentials in Awin, enter your password, and copy your Awin API token. If it was revoked, a new one is made when you show it.
I have no Awin login
Why:
Fix: Check your spam folder for Awin's invitation email. Awin says it upgraded publishers it approved who had registered after January 2023, been active since January 2024, or had five or more approved partnerships. Anyone else can register with Awin directly.
My old merchant or affiliate id is refused
Why:
Fix: Upgraded advertisers received a new Awin id in place of their ShareASale Merchant ID. Use the account you chose when connecting: PopMCP fills in its id.
A date like 02/10/2025 is refused
Why:
Fix: ShareASale used month, day, year. Use a form like 2025-02-10. Transactions cover 31 days a call, and reports 400 days.
An old ShareASale action has no tool
Why:
Fix: Ask the AI what the action became. Some, such as approving affiliates or reading a ledger, have no call in Awin's API, and the answer says so and where to go instead.
Awin allows 20 API calls a minute
Why:
Fix: The limit is per person and covers everything using your token, including any other tool you connected with it. Wait a minute and try again.
Advertiser tools are refused with 403
Why:
Fix: Awin offers its advertiser APIs on the Accelerate and Advanced plans. Check your plan with your Awin contact.
