You paste a Client ID and a Client Secret from your Tidio panel. The same pair works for live records and for analytics, and PopMCP finds your project from them.

Paid plan required before this connector works

No one reviews you, but Tidio's documentation says its API is only available on the Plus and Premium plans. On a paid Lyro plan alone, only product uploads for Lyro work, and the Free plan has no API.

Typical wait
None once the project is on the plan.
Cost
See Tidio's pricing page for Plus and Premium.
Blocked until approved
Every tool except the two Lyro product tools. PopMCP still connects a real key on a smaller plan, and says only those tools can work.
Works meanwhile
Decide whether the AI should only read or also reply to tickets, and generate a key pair just for PopMCP under Settings, Developer, OpenAPI.

Where to apply: No application. Choose the Plus or Premium plan in your Tidio project, then connect Tidio in PopMCP.

  • Tidio limits each project per minute: 60 requests on Plus and 120 on Premium.
  • Only project owners and admins can open the page that makes keys.
  • Tidio shows the Client Secret only once, so copy it before closing the window.

Rate limits
Live records, per project: 60 requests a minute on Plus, 120 on Premium, and 10 on plans with product uploads only. Over a limit Tidio answers HTTP 429. Analytics: 50 requests a second shared by all its users, and 25 seconds per query.

Before you begin

  • A Tidio project on the Plus or Premium plan, which is what Tidio's API needs. On a paid Lyro plan alone, only product uploads for Lyro work.
  • To be an owner or admin of the project. Only they can open the page that makes the keys.

Get your credentials

Open the OpenAPI page

Sign in to the Tidio panel. Open Settings, then Developer, then OpenAPI. You need to be an owner or admin of the project to see it.

Tidio OpenAPI

Generate the keys below to authorize requests. You can generate up to 5 API key pairs.

Generate a key pair and copy both values

Select Generate OpenAPI key. Tidio shows a Client ID, starting ci_, and a Client Secret, starting cs_. Copy both now: the Client Secret is only shown once. A new pair just for PopMCP is the safest choice, because you can delete it on its own.

Paste them into PopMCP

Open Tidio in PopMCP, paste the Client ID and the Client Secret, and connect. PopMCP checks the pair with Tidio and names the connection after your project. There is nothing else to fill in. New connections start read-only, and an owner or admin can allow writes.

Connect in PopMCP

Open your workspace, choose Tidio in the marketplace, and fill in the connect dialog:

FieldWhat to enter
Client IDtextFrom Settings > Developer > OpenAPI in your Tidio panel: Generate OpenAPI key.
Client SecretsecretShown once, next to the Client ID, so copy it before you close that window. Stored encrypted, used server-side only.Encrypted with AES-256-GCM on save and never shown again.

PopMCP verifies the credential against Tidio immediately. On success the connection flips to Verified and its MCP tools are provisioned.

Verify it worked

PopMCP shows Tidio as Verified, named with your project id. Ask for an overview: tidio_project_overview answers with your team, departments, ticket tags, custom fields and contact properties.

Troubleshooting

"Tidio did not accept these keys"

Why: A value was copied incompletely, or the pair was deleted in Tidio. The Client Secret cannot be shown again.

Fix: Generate a new pair under Settings, Developer, OpenAPI, and paste both values.

PopMCP says only the Lyro product tools can work

Why: The keys are real, but Tidio says this project's plan does not include its full API.

Fix: Move the project to the Plus or Premium plan, then reconnect. Product uploads for Lyro work on a paid Lyro plan.

A tool says there have been too many requests

Why: Tidio limits each project per minute: 60 requests on Plus and 120 on Premium.

Fix: Wait a minute and ask again. Asking for fewer pages at once helps.

Analytics come back empty for today or yesterday

Why: Tidio loads analytics once a day. Yesterday's data arrives at about 10:00 UTC, and today's is never complete.

Fix: Ask about a range that ends earlier. Live tools such as tidio_list_tickets show what is happening now.

An analytics question times out

Why: Tidio gives each query 25 seconds, and some of its tables are large.

Fix: Ask about a shorter date range or fewer columns.

The AI cannot answer a live chat

Why: Tidio's API has no way to send an operator's live chat reply. It can read those conversations and reply to tickets.

Fix: Answer live chats in Tidio, or use tickets for replies the AI should send.
