You paste one value into PopMCP: your brand's access token from the Faire brand portal. PopMCP reads which brand it belongs to, so there is nothing else to fill in.

Seller/marketplace approval before this connector works

You need a Faire brand account that Faire has approved. The access token then comes from your brand portal, or from Faire's integrations team if the portal does not offer it. When PopMCP's own Faire sign-in is switched on, a brand just signs in.

Typical wait
Minutes when the portal offers the key. Faire publishes no figure for a token requested by email.
Cost
Faire's documents list no fee for the API. Faire's usual commission on orders is unchanged.
Blocked until approved
Without a brand account nothing can connect: Faire says it has no retailer API. Without a token the connection cannot start.
Works meanwhile
PopMCP's other connectors work as usual while you wait for Faire.

Where to apply: In your Faire brand portal open Settings, then Integrations, and generate an API key. If you do not see that option, email integrations.support@faire.com from the email address on your Faire account, name your brand and ask for your API access token.

  • The token has full access to your brand. Faire has no read-only kind, so keep the connection on read-only in PopMCP until you want the AI to change things.
  • Faire's menu labels were read from its help pages and integrators' guides. If yours differ, look for API or Direct integrations under Settings, Integrations.

Rate limits
Faire publishes no request limit and answers 429 when a client should slow down. Orders come back at most 50 to a page and products at most 250, and paging by cursor avoids the limit Faire puts on page numbers. Connections through PopMCP's own Faire app are held to fair use.

Before you begin

  • A Faire brand account that Faire has approved. Faire has no API for retailer accounts
  • Access to your brand's settings in the Faire brand portal, or the email address on the account if you need to ask Faire for the token

Get your credentials

Open your Integrations settings

Sign in to your Faire brand portal (the link below) and open Settings, then Integrations. This needs your brand account, not a retailer account.

Generate API key

This view is a simplified sketch: the labels on your page may differ slightly.

Generate the key, or ask Faire for it

Generate an API key there and copy it. Faire's developer documents tell a single brand to make the token in the brand portal, but other integrators report that some brands do not see the option. If you do not, email integrations.support@faire.com from the email address on your Faire account, name your brand and ask for your API access token. Faire issues it to the brand.

API key

Treat the token like a password. It has full access to your brand on Faire.

Paste it into PopMCP

In PopMCP open Faire in the marketplace, paste the token into Access token and click connect. PopMCP calls Faire's brand profile to check it, shows your brand's name and stores the token encrypted. The connection starts read-only, so nothing changes on Faire until an owner or admin allows write actions.

Connect in PopMCP

Open your workspace, choose Faire in the marketplace, and fill in the connect dialog:

FieldWhat to enter
Access tokensecretIn your Faire brand portal open Settings, then Integrations, and generate an API key. If you do not see that option, email integrations.support@faire.com from your Faire account's email and ask for your API access token. Stored encrypted.Encrypted with AES-256-GCM on save and never shown again.

PopMCP verifies the credential against Faire immediately. On success the connection flips to Verified and its MCP tools are provisioned.

Verify it worked

PopMCP marks the Faire connection Verified under your brand's name. Asking the AI which orders still need to ship returns your open orders with their items and ship dates.

Troubleshooting

"Faire did not accept this access token."

Why: The token was cut short, has been replaced, or is not an API token.

Fix: Copy the whole key again from **Settings**, **Integrations** in the brand portal, or ask `integrations.support@faire.com` for a new one.

"That does not look like a Faire access token."

Why: Something other than the token was pasted, such as a link or a sentence.

Fix: Paste only the token. PopMCP never needs your Faire password.

There is no way to generate a key in the brand portal

Why: Faire does not show the option to every brand.

Fix: Email `integrations.support@faire.com` from the email address on your Faire account and ask for your API access token.

A write tool is missing or refused

Why: New connections start read-only.

Fix: Ask an owner or admin to allow write actions on the Faire connection in PopMCP.

Stock looks wrong after an update

Why: On hand and available are different numbers. Available is on hand minus what open orders hold, so a number that already excludes open orders has them subtracted twice if it is sent as on hand.

Fix: Ask the AI to set available stock when your number is what can still be sold, and on hand stock only when it is what is physically on the shelf.

A stock or price update fails and nothing changes

Why: By default one unknown SKU fails the whole batch.

Fix: Ask the AI to apply what it can with partial success. It reports the SKUs that were not applied.
