ChatGPT
Add PopMCP to ChatGPT in developer mode on a paid plan: enter the MCP server URL with OAuth, approve the connectors it can reach, then use it in chat.
Custom connectors need ChatGPT developer mode on the web, which is not available on Free. Which paid plans get full read and write access, and whether a workspace admin has to switch it on first, varies by plan: check OpenAI's developer mode article for your account.
Open connector settings
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode. Then go to Plugins and select the plus button.
Add the gateway
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Name | PopMCP |
| MCP server URL | https://app.popmcp.com/mcp |
| Authentication | OAuth |
Approve the connectors
ChatGPT sends you to PopMCP's consent screen. Tick the connectors to grant and approve.
Use it
In the composer, choose Developer mode from the plus menu and select PopMCP, then ask
something that needs it. ChatGPT calls list_connections first to see what it has.
Claude Web
On Pro or Max you add the connector yourself; on Team or Enterprise an owner adds it once and others enable it. Then approve what Claude can reach.
Codex
Register PopMCP in ~/.codex/config.toml, sign in so Codex runs the OAuth consent in your browser and stores the token, then list servers to confirm.
