# The Iconic setup for PopMCP

You paste the Application ID and Application Secret of an OAuth application you make in your own THE ICONIC Seller Center. There is nothing to request from anyone once you have a seller login.

- Auth: API credentials
- Setup time: 2 min
- API base URL: https://sellercenter-api.theiconic.com.au/. Access tokens come from https://sellercenter.theiconic.com.au/oauth/client-credentials and last one hour; PopMCP renews them for you.
- Credentials screen: https://sellercenter.theiconic.com.au/new/settings/integration-management/oauths
- Provider docs: https://sellercenter-api.theiconic.com.au/doc/authorization

## Approval required before this works

You need to be a seller on THE ICONIC's marketplace, with a login to Seller Center. THE ICONIC takes on new brands through its Sell With Us page. Once you have a login, the application takes a minute and needs no approval.

- Typical wait: THE ICONIC publishes no turnaround for new brands. For a seller who already has a login, there is no wait.
- Cost: THE ICONIC's API guide mentions no fee for API access. Ask THE ICONIC about the terms for selling on its marketplace.
- Blocked until approved: The whole connection, since the application is made inside Seller Center.
- Works meanwhile: Nothing on your own: Seller Center and its API are for sellers.

## Before you begin

- A THE ICONIC marketplace seller account, with a login to Seller Center. This is for brands selling on THE ICONIC, not for shoppers.
- A Seller Center user with the Seller Full Access role. THE ICONIC's API guide asks that the application is made by a user with that role.

## Get your credentials

### 1. Open OAuth Applications

Sign in to Seller Center at `sellercenter.theiconic.com.au` with a user that has the Seller Full Access role. Open Settings, then OAuth Applications.

Screen: https://sellercenter.theiconic.com.au/new/settings/integration-management/oauths

### 2. Add an application for PopMCP

Add a new application and name it `PopMCP`. Seller Center keeps a redirect address with each application. If it asks for one, enter `https://app.popmcp.com`: this kind of connection never uses it.

Screen: https://sellercenter.theiconic.com.au/new/settings/integration-management/oauths

### 3. Copy the Application ID and Application Secret

Seller Center generates an Application ID and an Application Secret for the new application. Copy both.

Screen: https://sellercenter.theiconic.com.au/new/settings/integration-management/oauths

### 4. Paste both into PopMCP

In PopMCP, open The Iconic, paste the Application ID and Application Secret, and connect. PopMCP gets an access token with them and reads your seller's name, so you can see straight away that it is the right account.

### 5. Allow changes when you are ready

New connections start read-only, so the AI can read products, orders and statements and nothing else. Applications have no read-only setting of their own. When you want the AI to change stock or prices or move orders along, an owner or admin can allow writes in PopMCP.

## Fields PopMCP asks for

- Application ID (clientId) [required]: In Seller Center, open Settings, then OAuth Applications, and add an application named PopMCP. If it asks for a redirect address, enter https://app.popmcp.com (this connection does not use it). Then copy its Application ID.
- Application Secret (clientSecret) [required]: Shown with the same application. Stored encrypted and used only on our servers to get access tokens.

## Verify

PopMCP shows The Iconic as Verified, named after your seller. Ask for your order counts: the_iconic_get_order_counters answers with how many orders sit in each status.

## Troubleshooting

### "Seller Center did not accept this Application ID and Application Secret"

Cause: One of the values was copied incompletely, they come from different applications, or the application was deleted.

Fix: Copy both again from Settings, OAuth Applications, or add a new application.

### "Seller Center accepted the application but refused to show its seller"

Cause: The application was made by a user without enough access.

Fix: Sign in as a user with the Seller Full Access role, add a new application and connect with that one.

### That is an email address

Cause: You pasted the User ID of Seller Center's older API, which sits with its API key in the API Explorer section.

Fix: PopMCP uses an OAuth application instead. Add one under Settings, OAuth Applications and paste its Application ID.

### A bulk import was accepted but the products did not change

Cause: Imports run in the background, and errors for each row only appear on the feed.

Fix: Ask the AI to call the_iconic_wait_for_feed with the feedUuid from the answer and read the errors.

### A status change is refused

Cause: Order items only move along a set path, and the items in one call must be from one order. Setting delivered is for dropship orders only.

Fix: Ask the AI to read the order with the_iconic_order_overview and use the next status for each item.
