# Okendo setup for PopMCP

A single value: your Okendo User ID, the store's subscriber UUID, copied from the Credentials card on Settings / Integrations and pasted into PopMCP's Okendo User ID field.

- Auth: API credentials
- Setup time: 2 min
- API base URL: https://api.okendo.io/v1
- Credentials screen: https://reviews.okendo.io/admin/settings/integrations
- Provider docs: https://docs.okendo.io/on-site/storefront-rest-api

## Approval required before this works

Okendo gates Merchant API credentials behind plan entitlement: API access is included on the Advanced plan and above, and is sold as a paid add-on on the lower tiers. There is no application, review, or developer programme - only a billing entitlement.

- Typical wait: No review queue - access is live as soon as the plan entitlement or paid add-on is applied to the store. Okendo does not publish a turnaround for the add-on, which is arranged through Okendo support or your CSM.
- Cost: Okendo does not publish fixed plan prices - its pricing page quotes by monthly order volume, and the price of the API add-on for lower tiers is not published anywhere public. Get a quote from Okendo sales or your CSM; do not assume a figure.
- Blocked until approved: Everything on the authenticated Merchant API: listing and moderating reviews, replying to reviews, customer profiles and activities, loyalty points/coupons/redemptions, surveys, settings, and webhook subscriptions. Concretely, without the entitlement the Okendo Admin > Settings > Integrations screen never surfaces an API key to copy, so no authenticated call can be made at all.
- Works meanwhile: The Storefront REST API is a public on-site API addressed by your Subscriber ID rather than a secret Merchant API key, so published reviews, ratings, and Q&A can be read without the entitlement. On-site widgets and the Storefront JavaScript API also work on every tier.

## Before you begin

- An Okendo account with Okendo Reviews installed on your store
- Any Okendo plan. The User ID is a public storefront identifier, so no paid API add-on and no app review is needed
- Access to the Okendo admin at reviews.okendo.io/admin, or the Okendo app tile in your Shopify or BigCommerce admin

## Get your credentials

### 1. Open the Okendo admin

Go to reviews.okendo.io/admin and sign in, or open Apps in your store admin and click Okendo.

Screen: https://reviews.okendo.io/admin/

### 2. Open Settings, then Integrations

Click Settings at the bottom of the dark left rail. In the secondary column that opens, choose Integrations under the Settings group.

Screen: https://reviews.okendo.io/admin/settings/integrations

### 3. Copy the User ID

Click the Okendo row inside the Credentials card to expand it, then copy the User ID with its copy button.

Screen: https://reviews.okendo.io/admin/settings/integrations

### 4. Paste it into PopMCP

Paste the UUID into PopMCP's Okendo User ID field and connect.

## Fields PopMCP asks for

- Okendo User ID (subscriberId) [required]: Okendo app → Settings → Integrations → Credentials → Okendo User ID (also shown as your subscriber ID). This is a public storefront identifier (not a secret); it scopes the MCP to your store.

## Verify

PopMCP marks Okendo as Connected, and asking it to list your latest reviews returns real review text and star ratings from your store rather than an empty list.

## Troubleshooting

### Tools succeed but every review list comes back empty

Cause: The storefront API answers with HTTP 200 and an empty reviews array for a store id it does not recognise, so a mistyped UUID looks like a store with no reviews.

Fix: Re-copy the User ID from the Credentials card with the copy button instead of typing it, and confirm you are in the Okendo account for the store you expect.

### You cannot reach the admin to read the ID

Cause: Your session has expired or you only have access through the storefront.

Fix: Read the same value off your live storefront instead. The Okendo widget script carries it as a `subscriberId` parameter.

### You cannot find a Settings then Integrations screen

Cause: You are looking at the Okendo widget settings inside your ecommerce platform rather than the Okendo admin itself.

Fix: Open reviews.okendo.io/admin directly, then click Settings at the bottom of the dark left rail.

### The User ID field is blank or the page will not load

Cause: Your Okendo user has not been granted access to this store, or the session has expired.

Fix: Sign out and back in. If it is still blank, ask an Okendo account admin to add you to the store or email solutions@okendo.io.
