# Justuno setup for PopMCP

You paste one value into PopMCP: a private API key you create in the Justuno portal. Every Justuno tool only reads analytics, so nothing on your site can change through this connection.

- Auth: API credentials
- Setup time: 1 min
- API base URL: https://api.justuno.com/v1
- Credentials screen: https://portal.justuno.com/app/account/apps
- Provider docs: https://hub.justuno.com/article/1060-accessing-analytics-via-api

## Before you begin

- A Justuno account you can sign in to
- Permission to open Account Settings and create a private API key
- Nothing to apply for and no app to register

## Get your credentials

### 1. Open Account Settings, then Apps

Sign in to the Justuno portal and open Account Settings, then Apps. The direct link is `portal.justuno.com/app/account/apps`.

Screen: https://portal.justuno.com/app/account/apps

### 2. Create a private API key

In the API Key section click Create Private API Key, then copy the key. Justuno says this key has access to all of the data in your account, so treat it like a password and do not share it anywhere else.

Screen: https://portal.justuno.com/app/account/apps

### 3. Connect in PopMCP

Paste the key into PopMCP's Justuno form and click Connect. PopMCP checks it with Justuno by reading your analytics once.

Screen: https://hub.justuno.com/article/1060-accessing-analytics-via-api

### 4. Check it is connected

The Justuno card in PopMCP reads Connected. Justuno has no call that returns your account's name, so the connection is labelled Justuno. Every tool only reads, so there are no write actions to allow.

## Fields PopMCP asks for

- Private API key (apiKey) [required]: In the Justuno portal: Account Settings, then Apps, then Create Private API Key. Stored encrypted.

## Verify

PopMCP shows the Justuno connector as Connected after one read of your analytics.

## Troubleshooting

### Justuno did not accept this key

Cause: The key was copied only in part, it was revoked, or the placeholder from an API request example was pasted.

Fix: Open Account Settings, then Apps, in the Justuno portal, copy the private API key in full or create a new one, then connect again.

### Justuno knows this key but refused analytics

Cause: The team member who made the key may not be able to see Analytics, or a report may not be on your plan. Justuno's help center limits custom dashboards to Flex and Enterprise plans.

Fix: Create the key as an admin. If one report is still refused, check your plan with Justuno.

### Daily numbers do not match the portal

Cause: Days are split by timezone, and the default here is UTC.

Fix: Ask your AI to use your store's timezone, such as America/New_York.

### A report comes back empty

Cause: No data in those dates, or a metric name is not spelt as Justuno spells it.

Fix: Check the dates. In the portal, hover over the card, click the code icon and read the values in its API request example.
