# Helium 10 setup for PopMCP

Nothing is typed into PopMCP. You click Authorize with Helium 10, sign in to Helium 10 and approve PopMCP on Helium 10's consent screen. PopMCP is already a registered Helium 10 client, so there is no API key, developer app or callback URL to set up. The account needs Helium 10's Diamond plan or above.

- Auth: OAuth authorization
- Setup time: 2 min
- API base URL: https://mcp.helium10.com/mcp
- Credentials screen: https://members.helium10.com
- Provider docs: https://kb.helium10.com/hc/en-us/articles/51580564409883-Getting-Started-with-Helium-10-MCP

## Approval required before this works

Helium 10 includes its MCP only with the Diamond plan and above, so PopMCP can connect a Diamond or Enterprise account but not a Platinum one. Nobody at Helium 10 reviews anything: there is no application and no approval wait, only the plan.

- Typical wait: None. Once the account is on Diamond or above, connecting takes about 2 minutes.
- Cost: Helium 10's pricing page (checked October 2026) lists Diamond at US$359/month, or US$279/month billed annually, and Enterprise at US$1,499/month. Platinum, at US$129/month, does not include the MCP.
- Blocked until approved: Everything. On a plan without the MCP the Helium 10 sign-in still succeeds, but Helium 10 offers the account no tools, so PopMCP stops the connect with a message that Diamond is needed.
- Works meanwhile: Nothing through PopMCP, because a plan without the MCP gives the connection no tools at all. Once the account is upgraded, clicking Authorize with Helium 10 again is all it takes.

## Before you begin

- A Helium 10 account on the Diamond plan or above (Enterprise included). Helium 10 only includes its MCP from Diamond up, so a Platinum account cannot connect
- The sign-in for that account at members.helium10.com
- Pop-up blockers must allow the Helium 10 authorization window to open
- Only if the AI should publish listings to Amazon or change ad campaigns: an owner or admin in PopMCP to allow write actions

## Get your credentials

### 1. Make sure the account is on Diamond or above

Decide which Helium 10 account the AI should use and check its plan. The Helium 10 MCP comes with Diamond and Enterprise; Platinum and the plans below it do not have it. On those plans the sign-in still goes through, but Helium 10 gives PopMCP no tools and the connect stops, so upgrade first. Helium 10 lists its plans at helium10.com/pricing.

Screen: https://www.helium10.com/pricing/

### 2. Start the connection from PopMCP

Open the Helium 10 connector in PopMCP and click Authorize with Helium 10. There are no fields to fill in: no API key, no developer app and nothing to register.

### 3. Sign in to Helium 10 in the popup

The authorization window opens on members.helium10.com. Sign in with the account on Diamond or above. If you have more than one Helium 10 login, use the one with that plan.

### 4. Click Authorize on Helium 10's consent screen

Helium 10 then shows a consent screen naming PopMCP and the one permission it asks for, `mcp:tools`. Click Authorize. Helium 10 passes the sign-in back to PopMCP, which checks which tools the account has and finishes the connection.

### 5. Check the connection in PopMCP

The Helium 10 card in PopMCP reads Connected. PopMCP mirrors Helium 10's own MCP server live, so the connection has every tool Helium 10 gives this account, grouped into keyword research, product research, Brand Analytics, Keyword Tracker, listings, Listing Builder, Profits, Inventory and Ads. `helium10_list_tools` and `helium10_call_tool` also reach any tool Helium 10 adds after you connect. To cut PopMCP off later, disconnect it here or remove the connected app in Helium 10's Account Settings.

## Scopes requested

- mcp:tools

## Verify

The Helium 10 card in PopMCP shows Connected. Asking the AI for the connection profile (`helium10_connection_profile`) lists the account's tools by toolset, and asking which keywords one of your ASINs ranks for (`helium10_get_keywords_by_asin`) returns keywords with search volume rather than an authorization error.

## Troubleshooting

### Connect says the Diamond plan is needed, or the account has no Helium 10 tools

Cause: The Helium 10 account is below Diamond. Sign-in works on Platinum and lower plans, but Helium 10 gives those accounts no MCP tools, so PopMCP has nothing to mirror and stops the connect.

Fix: Upgrade the account to Diamond or Enterprise, or sign in with an account that has one, then click Authorize with Helium 10 again.

### The authorization window never opens

Cause: A pop-up blocker is stopping the Helium 10 sign-in window.

Fix: Allow pop-ups for PopMCP in your browser and click Authorize with Helium 10 again.

### "Your Helium 10 sign-in has ended..."

Cause: Helium 10 signs a connection out after a period of inactivity, and also when PopMCP is removed from the connected apps in Helium 10's Account Settings.

Fix: Reconnect Helium 10 in PopMCP. It is one click on Authorize with Helium 10, a sign-in and Authorize; nothing else needs redoing.

### Publishing a listing or changing an ad campaign is held back

Cause: Only two Helium 10 tools change anything: helium10_sync_listing_to_amazon, which overwrites the live Amazon listing, and helium10_manage_ads_campaigns, which changes bids and budgets. PopMCP holds both until an owner or admin allows write actions.

Fix: Ask an owner or admin to allow write actions for Helium 10 in PopMCP. Drafting with Listing Builder (generate_listing, rewrite_listing_section) changes nothing on Amazon and works without it.
