# Fera setup for PopMCP

You paste one value into PopMCP: the secret key from Fera's API keys page. PopMCP reads your store's name and public key with it.

- Auth: API credentials
- Setup time: 1 min
- API base URL: https://api.fera.ai/v3
- Credentials screen: https://app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys
- Provider docs: https://developers.fera.ai/docs/api-key-authentication

## Before you begin

- A Fera account with a store, signed in to app.fera.ai
- No app, redirect URL or review is needed

## Get your credentials

### 1. Open Fera's API keys page

Sign in to Fera, then open [app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys](https://app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys). If you run several stores in Fera, switch to the one you want first: each key belongs to one store.

Screen: https://app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys

### 2. Copy the secret key

Copy the secret key, also called the private key. It is not the public key, which starts with `pk_`. Treat it like a password: it can read and change everything in the store, including customer data.

Screen: https://app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys

### 3. Paste it into PopMCP

Paste the key into Secret key in PopMCP and click connect. PopMCP checks it with Fera straight away and shows your store's name. To keep the AI to reading, choose read-only access in PopMCP: Fera has no read-only key of its own.

## Fields PopMCP asks for

- Secret key (secretKey) [required]: On Fera's API keys page, copy the secret (private) key, not the public one. Treat it like a password. Stored encrypted.

## Verify

PopMCP marks the Fera connection Verified and shows your store's name. Ask the AI to summarize last month's reviews or show what is waiting for approval, and it answers from your store.

## Troubleshooting

### "Fera did not accept this key."

Cause: The key was copied in part, it was changed in Fera, or it is from another store.

Fix: Copy the secret key again from [Fera's API keys page](https://app.fera.ai/integrations/api_keys), with the right store selected.

### "That is your public key"

Cause: The value that starts with `pk_` went into the field.

Fix: Copy the secret key on the same page. PopMCP gets the public key by itself.

### A tool says Fera's limit was reached

Cause: Fera allows 10 requests a minute on a free account and 100 on a paid one.

Fix: Wait a minute and try again. Asking for a summary or an overview uses fewer requests than many single lookups.

### A tool answers 405 when changing a review

Cause: Fera does not allow some edits, such as on a verified review.

Fix: Make the change in Fera if it lets you, or decline the review rather than editing it.

### A change to a product or order goes back to how it was

Cause: On Shopify, Wix and other linked platforms, Fera syncs products and orders itself.

Fix: Change it on your store platform instead.
